What happens in the vineyard after harvest?
Winter is a quieter but revealing time in Kakheti. The leaves have fallen, vines are dormant and the vineyard shows its shape. It is an opportunity to understand the annual cycle — and to turn attention from ripe grapes to how wine continues developing in the cellar.

Weather permitting, walk among the dormant vines and learn how vines rest, how pruning shapes the next season and why we work with living soils without irrigation or routine ploughing.
02 · Inside a traditional marani
See the clay qvevri buried in the earth. Your host explains native fermentation, skin contact, amber wines and the choices involved in natural wine production using grapes only.
03 · Warmth and conversation
Continue with a personally hosted tasting. Compare local varieties such as Rkatsiteli and Saperavi and discover the stories behind individual bottles.
04 · Tailored additions
Ask about pairing Georgian dishes with the tasting or arranging a private winter visit for your couple or small group. All additions require prior agreement.

Winter is beautiful — and unpredictable
Our tasting venue is in Sighnaghi; the vineyard and traditional marani are about 24 km outside town, roughly 25 minutes each way in normal conditions. Rain, ice or road conditions can change whether the outdoor portion is possible.
We do not promise snow, grape picking, an indoor heated cellar or guaranteed outdoor access. We confirm what can be offered on your chosen date, and can discuss a Sighnaghi tasting alternative if conditions change.
